1987   The company SETEC was founded  and has been continuously run by Mr. Fritz Fahrner.
1992   A new department for research and development was initiated in Dresden with the objective control-engineering and power-electronics for electric motors and generators.
In addition, IGBT inverter with the task of improving the voltage quality in electrical power networks are designed.
1997 the company moved into a new building, were still the business location with departments for administration, engineering services and production is today.
SETEC is located in a suburb of Dresden, only 10 minutes away from the airport, the highway and 20 minutes from the city centre of Dresden.
